Charles Johnson Obituary

Charles Orlanda Johnson Jr. was born to Shea R. Crews and Charles O. Johnson Sr. on June 28, 1986 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester, PA. He was called to eternal rest Tuesday morning March 30, 2021 at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, Delaware.

Chuckie, as he was affectionately known by his family and close friends was a very unpretentious and pleasant child. At a very young age, Chuckie's sense of humor and cognitive abilities were perceived by his mother Shea and late Great-grandmother, Rhoda Tillery. At six months old Chuckie would astonishingly figure out how to escape his playpen. Shortly thereafter it was discovered that he would stack his pillows in the corner of the playpen, climb up, then hang drop to the floor and scurry away until he was caught.

Chuckie was educated by his parents and received his formal education in the Chester Upland School District. He graduated from Chester High School in 2005. He, for a short while, attended The School for Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Philadelphia; at the time of his death he was enrolled at Lincoln Technical Institute to obtain a vocational degree in auto mechanics.

Chuckie's grandmother, Nana, as she was affectionately called, always knew he would become a great narrator. As an adult Chuckie took his talents to the stage. He performed in a play called, "Rhythm of Success" in 2014, pursued stand-up comedy as well as created music videos with his best friends.

While Chuckie was furthering his education, in his spare time, he would Door Dash and was often noted for making his customers laugh.

Besides the births of his two beloved sons, his other highest accomplishment was joining the

Masonic Brotherhood in 2017 through the Prudence Lodge #11 located in Philadelphia, PA. Chuckie worked very diligently with his brothers to encourage morality, charity, and obedience.

Chuckie was preceded in death by his doting father figure, Tyrone Michael Crews, who loved and raised Charles as his only son.

Chuckie leaves to cherish his memories forever, his mother, Shea R. Crews; father, Charles O. Johnson Sr.; maternal grandmother, Shirley M. Frazier; two sons, Gaven Dason Foster-Johnson, and Kgosi Wyatt Wesley-Johnson. Nine sisters, Kim Spencer Digsby, Melanie Wheeler, Evita I. Quick, Epiphany F. Crews, Eallante' J. Crews, Eonn S. Crews, Deja N. Naylor, Danielle S. Jones and Shaquanna Gould. One special friend and the mother of his second son, Keara K. Wesley. Five best-friends/brothers, Jonathan Moore, Darren Hammond, Omar Wilson, Nate Mason and Brandon Alvin. Three Aunts, Sherri Shank, Wanda Harmon, Syaita Frazier and Suzanne Jones. Three Uncles, Wanyandey Harmon, Wendell Harmon and Steve Johnson. Sixteen nieces and nephews. Four great-nieces and nephew. His Masonic Brothers from the Prudence Lodge #11 and a host of aunts and uncles from his father, cousins, close family, and friends.

Sorrowly Submitted with love,

The Family
