It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arnita Melissa Jones Ballard (Chester, Pennsylvania), born in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Jones Sr. and Alyce Maddox Jones; her brothers, Reuben, Reginald Jones and Russell Jones Jr. A; her niece Regina Mayo Fisher; and her nephew Eric Potts.
She is survived by: her mother-in-law Doris Payne; her husband Calvin Ballard; her siblings, Ramona Potts of Upland, PA, Vincent Jones of Sacramento and Victor Jones; her siblings-in-law, Rosalind Jones of Atlanta, Renne of Chester, Darlene Wright of Washington, DC., Kent Payne of Folcroft and David of Chester; her nieces, Tatia Cooper (Montez) of Philadelphia and Teresa Potts of Chester Township; and her nephew Jermar Ward of New Castle. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
