He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McDowell and Elizabeth J. Dougherty McDowell; and his wife Shirley Perryman McDowell. He is survived by: his sibling Shawn P. McDowell (Denise Devakow); his nephew Jake McDowell; his godson Seth Lackus; his cousin Danielle Mills Moen; and also, Bobbie Mills and Amy Goldman McDowell.
