He was predeceased by: his wife Rose M. Johnston. He is survived by: his children, William J. Johnston (Maryann), Dr. Mary Teresa Pronovost (Paul), Sheila Aseltine (Peter) and Thomas J. Johnston Jr. (Kate); and his grandchildren, Laura, Kate, Sam, Henry, Bridgid and Maggie.
