He was predeceased by: his parents, August Arnal and Caroleen Harmison Arnal; and his wife Lila Pirrung. He is survived by: his children, John Atkinson (Patty) of Washington and Janet Atkinson of Charleroi; his siblings, Sam Arnel of Washington and Carol Cushey (Fred) of Washington; and his daughter Elizabeth McCorkle. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
