She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Backo and Bruna Backo (Carcella); and her close friend Merle Cassatt. She is survived by: her sons, Charles Balsano (Colleen) of Belle Vernon, Dennis Balsano of Pittsburgh and Troy Balsano (Heather) of Charleroi; her grandchildren, Chaz, Madison and Maggie; her stepgrandchildren, Shannon, Brady, Eric, Andrew and Amanda; and her sisters, Janet Backo of Charleroi and Charlotte Dacko (William) of Charleroi. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
