He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard J. McKita and Ann Nantus McKita; and his sister Debbie Kurtis. He is survived by: his wife Gay Lynne Edwards McKita; his sons, Richard M. McKita of Charleroi, Gregg McKita (Mishelle) of Speers and Jason McKita of Luzerne, PA; his grandchildren, Richard J., Dominic, Kelsey and Chase McKita; and his sister Patricia Sanino.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Charleroi Youth Baseball League.
