It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Backo of Charleroi, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Backo and Bruna Backo (Carcella); and her sister Rita Balsano. She is survived by: her sister Charlotte Dacko (William) of Charleroi; her niece Kim Ingold (Greg) of Florida; her nephews, Jason Dacko (Lisa) of Newell, Troy Balsano (Heather) of Charleroi, Charles Balsano (Colleen) of Belle Vernon and Dennis Balsano of Pittsburgh; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Chaz Balsano (Ari), Madison Balsano (Zach), Maggie Balsano, Max Dacko and Sara Goerhing (Jon); and also, Owen and Connor.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spallino Funeral Home (819 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi, PA 15022). A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home (819 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi, PA 15022).
