Irene L. Moon Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2025, at the age of 95, Irene L. Moon (Charleroi, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Irene find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fierschnaller and Marie Fierschnaller (Helms); her husband James F. Moon; and her brother Jospeh Fierschnaller. She is survived by: her sons, Dr. James Moon (Iris) of St. Petersburg, FL and Alan Moon (Debra) of Monessen, PA. She is also survived by her three grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (226 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi, PA 15022). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Per Irene's wishes, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Washington Church of Christ, 700 Allison Ave Washington, PA 15301.
