She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mendola and Helene Mendola (Biscoe); her husband U. S. Congressman Frank R.; her son Mark E. Mascara; her brother Ed; her sister-in-law Jean Mendola; her sister Shirley Valla; and her brother-in-law Ed Rizzuto.
She is survived by: her son Jon Mascara (Jill) of Belle Vernon; her daughter-in-law Lisa Mascara (T. J. Gentile) of Cannonsburg; her grandchildren, Matthew, Mark Mascara and Kylie Gupta (Arun); her great grandchildren, Ari, Mariah, Jameson and Sam Mascara; and her sister Bonnie Rizzuto of California State. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
