He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Burns and Helen Burns (Lader); his siblings, Patricia Doyle (John J. Doyle) and John E. Burns; and his nephew Shane Dean Yeager.
He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Gift Burns; and his sister Nancy L. (Yeager).
