He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Starr and Nellie Starr; his son Ronald Starr; and his siblings, Rebecca Gordon, Ruth Hornbaker, Joseph Thomas Starr, John Starr, Junior Starr, Catherine Starr, Barton Starr, Scott Starr and Merle Starr.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Hobbs, Ralph Starr, Paul Starr, Linford Starr, Judy Starr, Tina Short and Brenda Bateman. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
