He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Hockenberry and Cora Hockenberry (Hampton). He is survived by: his daughter Kristin Thornton (Mike) of Chambersburg; his stepson John Starr (Amber) of Mercersburg, PA; his grandchildren, Joshua, Allison Starr, Kellen, Kashtin, Karra and Kamron Thornton; and his siblings, Leonard Hockenberry of Doylesburg, PA, Merle Hockenberry of Chambersburg, Evelyn Woodward of Duncannon, PA, Audrey Colledge of Mechanicsburg, PA, Vada Zimmerman of Marysville, PA, Ella Hockenberry of East Waterford, PA, Nancy Harris of Doylesburg, PA and Bonnie Zeigler of Shade Gap, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parklawns Memorial Gardens (3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201).
