He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Stanley Seylar and Ruth Ommert Seylar; his wife I. Mae Seylar; and his son Jerry E. Seylar. He is survived by: his children, Donna J. Wengert (Donald), James L. "Jim" Seylar (Barb) and Joyce S. Blackford (Jerry); his daughter-in-law Penny Seylar of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Amanda Imwald (Mike), Denise Bernecker (Stephen), Alison Wengert, Travis Seylar (Sarah), Tracey Jackson (Kyle), Cody Reed (Jen), Stephen Seylar (Katrina) and Jodi Affleck (Matt); and his sister Grace Gearhart (Robert) of Shade Grove, PA.. He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Parklawns Memorial Gardens (3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201).
