He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob G. Schaff III and Ruby Schaff (Schetromph); his wife B. Joyce Schaff; his brothers, Jacob and George Schaff; his sister-in-law Julie; and his nephew Jacob "Jud".
He is survived by: his daughter Heather McAreavy (Bill) of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Carrie (Jordan), Cora, Patrick and Brian (Laura); his great grandchildren, Pierce, Lucas, Asher, Jager, Joseph, Lincoln and Wyatt; and his sister Peg Johnson (Charlie). He is also survived by sister-in-law.
