He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur F. Kendig and Anna A. Martin Kendig; his wife Dorothy M. Weaver; and his siblings, Russell J. Kendig, Arthur G. Kendig and Mary Jane Jost.
He is survived by: his children, Marie M. Mummert (Ray) of Shippensburg, Sandra J. Hockenberry (Robert) of Orrstown, Connie E. Caudill (Donald) of Orrstown and Kevin P. Kendig (Wendy) of York Springs; and his siblings, Roy E. Kendig (Jane) of Upper Strasburg and Betty Mummert of Chambersburg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. (112 W King St, Shippensburg, PA 17257). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the Mongul Cemetery (4162 Roxbury Rd, Shippensburg, PA 17257).
