It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Pefley of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Pefley and Gladys Burkholder Pefley; and his siblings, Paul Pefley, Jr. and Rhuie "Penny" Costolo. He is survived by: his brother Sheldon "Skip" Pefley (Debbie) of Chambersburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Chambersburg Club, 225 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
