She was predeceased by: her parents, Truman W. Piper and Dessie I. Mayhugh Piper; her husband John T. Van Horn; and her siblings, William, Donald, Earl Piper, Alma Martin and Nancy Rife.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Maraschina Cordell of Falling Waters, WV and Trina Lehman (Gary) of Chambersburg; and her brother Carl Piper of Greencastle. She is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
