He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd M. Helman and Louise Helman (Knepper); and his siblings, Virginia Flora, Kathryn DeShong, Michael Helman, Charles Helman and Harry Helman.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Helman (Tawney); and his children, Lloyd "Doug" Helman (Kim) of Chambersburg, Howard E. "Gene" Helman (Shirley) of Newburg, PA, Melissa L. Wagaman (Darrell) of Quincy, PA and Timothy C. Helman (Lorrie) of Chambersburg. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
