It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence L. Updegraff of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence L. Updegraff, Sr. and Floss Updegraff (Orndorff); his wife B. Jean Updegraff (Short); and his sons, Richard E. and Steven E. Updegraff.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Scott (Bill) of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Lisa Laman (Cody) of Shippensburg, Scott Hammond (Maxine) of Greencastle, PA, Shauna Updegraff of Chambersburg and Steven Updegraff of Chambersburg; his great grandchildren, Brantley and Emersyn Laman; and his daughter-in-law Sheila Updegraff of Chambersburg. He is also survived by three siblings; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center (333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Norland Cemetery (2295 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201).
