He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Heflin, Sr. and Victoria "Goldie" Heflin (Clark); his wife Barbara K. Heflin (Kuhn); his son John Alan Heflin; and his siblings, William, Vernon Heflin, Catherine Himes and Helen Jacobs.
He is survived by: his son Mark G. Heflin of Hampton, VA; and his siblings, Robert, Richard, Glenn Heflin, Betty Hallet, Peggy Kuhn and Nancy Plank.
