He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Loy and Ruth Zimmerman Shearer; his wife Pauline K. Shearer; and his sisters, Lillian Jane Dzinanka and Gladys Shearer Beck.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Shearer Leggett (Paul) and Kenneth L. Shearer (Sharon); his grandson Chandler J. Shearer (Christina); and his great grandchild Ashton J. Shearer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
