With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Rote of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, born in Sandy Ridge, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 18, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Rote and Isabel Sharpless Rote; his former wife Beverly Summers; and his sister Nancy Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Schnebly Rote; his children, Lance T. Rote (Sue) of Chambersburg, PA, Jill S. Johnson (David) of Hagerstown, MD, Tobin R. Rote (Amy) of Harrisburg, PA, Heather Irwin (Hugh) of Sandy Ridge, NC and Curtis Rosselle (Jeanna) of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Elayna, Aubrey, Corryn Rote, Cody Lee Blaze Hagins, Kelci Depner, Taylor Rote and Derek James "D. J." Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Trey Depner and Caden Roselle.
