He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Butts and Elizabeth Butts (Shearer); and his wife Patricia L. Butts (Miller). He is survived by: his children, Saundra, Zeigler, Janice Cooper, Michael, Michelle and Sheeley; his grandchildren, Richard, Alloway II, Tara, Barnhart-Dunkle, Matthew Cooper, Evan, Janay and Gagliardo; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Shindledecker and Everett Butts.
