It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen A. Lander (Chambersburg, Pennsylvania), born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Hartman and Charles Hartman; her husband James (Jim); her daughter Diane; and her siblings, Christine, Lucille and Bruce.

She is survived by: her sister Marilyn Mohl (Anthony); her sister-in-law Joyce Hartman; her nieces, Cynthia Messinger (Glen), Barbara Frelin (Ty), Carolyn Fillard (Will) and Susan McCurdy (Pat); and her nephew Stephen Lander (Sandy). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

“Dear Cindy and Family of Helen, My heartfelt condolence upon the passing of my dear old friend of the past . Dearest Helen and Jim also, exemplified the love of Christ to me and my son, John at Corpus Christi Church way back in the 1990's, as I became a single parent and John was a school student. Helen showed such loving support as I was a choir member and brought little John to choir practices,and altar serving. She entered eternal life with my Mom. Peace and Prayers , Barbara Skopek”
