She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Lloyd McGill and Betsy Banks McGill (Banks); her former husband Donald F. Waters (Mike); her daughter Lisa C. Waters; her sisters, Kathleen and Lucy McGill Ransom; and her cousin William "Buzzy" William.
She is survived by: her husband Mike Waters; her children, W. Donald (Beany), Kathleen Betsy (Chicki), Reed (Ted), Michelle Ann Lovett (Shelly) and Stephen Derrick (Steve); her stepsons, Michael Rideout (Vickie) and Dwight Shaffer; and her cousin Savilla Jiles (Tina). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
