It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frederick Mowen of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory S. Mowen and Hazel L. Mowen (Swisher). He is survived by: his wife Kathie L. Mowen (Shaffer); his children, Ryan Mowen (Brooke) of Mercersburg, PA and Amanda Porter (Mike) of Chambersburg; his stepsons, Michael Sites of Fayetteville, PA and Todd Sites (Janice) of Carlisle, PA; and his siblings, E. Dwain Mowen (Linda) of State Line, PA, Marsha Snider (Nelson) of Chambersburg, PA and Shawn Mowen (Laurie) of Chambersburg, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three step-great-granddaughters.
