He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elliott DeShong and Blanche DeShong (Brown); his wife Sandy (Washabaugh); his children, Melissa Herr (Missy) of Aldie, VA and Darryn DeShong (Heloisa) of Carlisle, PA; his sister Carolyn Kline (DeShong) of Harrisonville, PA; and his grandchildren, Laycie, Emma and Noah.
