He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl A. Harmer and Jeanne Harmer (Buzby); and his brothers, Richard, George and Mike Harmer.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Harmer (Halverson); his children, Jacqueline L. Hall (Harmer), Sandra L. Oldaker (Clark) and Michael E. Harmer; and his siblings, Stuart and Marie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
