He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn N. Waite and Alberta Hitchcock Waite; and his brothers, Rodney and Marcus. He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Boutelle (Calvin), Wendy Decker (Jeremy French), Julie Norton (Ray), Laura Banks (Ron) and Melissa Kuhns (David); his stepchildren, Paul Overturf and Crystal Smith (Kelly); his sister Lynette Green Pickup; and his former spouses, Bonny Turner and Gloria Waite. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Contributions in his memory may be made to any animal shelter or pet rescue of the donor's choice.
