He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar C. Showers and Ruth Wingert Showers; his former wife Janet Sandoe Showers; his wife Martha Coble Showers; and his son-in-law Donald R Wolf.
He is survived by: his daughters, Martha Wolf (Chuck Sawicki) of Gettysburg, Palm and Linda Taylor (Donald) of Biglerville; his grandchildren, Kathryn "Kate" Saylor (Kevin) of Walkersville, MD, Kurt Taylor (Terra) and Kent Taylor of Biglerville, PA; his great grandchildren, Zachary, Sophie, Andrew Taylor, Mason and Landon Saylor; and his siblings, Joseph Showers, Dora Sandoe and Marie Helm. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
