He was predeceased by: his father Walter J. Diehl; his wife Harriet Spangenberg; his son-in-law Kenton Gerig; his great grandchild Annalise; and his siblings, Alan and Leona Ziegenfus.
He is survived by: his children, Lamar Diehl (Joann), Carolyn Raber (Chris), Beverly Schantz (Richard), Roger Diehl (Karen) and Marjorie Pezon (Ronald). He is also survived by 23 Grandchildren and 38 Great-Grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
