She was predeceased by: her father Wilbert Charles Brindle; and her brothers, John Martin, Charles William Brindle, Roy Nelson Brindle, George Henry Brindle and Chester Eugene Brindle.
She is survived by: her children, Woodrow R. Shields of Silver Spring, MD and Christine R. Shields of Biglerville; her grandchildren, William J. Shields and Leslie A. Melton; and her sisters, Hilda Irene Fahnestock and Carol Ann Laird. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
