He is survived by: his daughter Debra Carter of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Melinda Hurst (Casey) of Chambersburg, John Carter of Chambersburg, PA and Andrew Carter (Amber) of Chambersburg; his great grandchildren, Ella Hurst, Maya Hurst, Carter Hurst, Brooks Carter and Jameson Carter; and his siblings, Joan Kaiser, Gerald Smith (Anna), Robert Smith (Joyce) and Donald Smith (Doreen).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, or to Mercy House, 730 Norland Ave, Chambersburg.
