He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Smith Elser and Lydia Sterner Elser; and his son Jonathan Elser. He is survived by: his wife Donalynn Elser; his daughter Renee Freeburn of Woodbridge Virginia; and his siblings, John Elser (Linda) of Dauphin Pennsylvania and Susan Jewett of Dubuque Iowa. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
