Sylvia Mae McGuire Obituary

Sylvia Mae McGuire, 86, of Chalfont, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Abington Hospital. She was the wife of the late James McGuire

Born in New Britain Township on October 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Olive Garges (Smith) and Harry L Garges.

Sylvia graduated from Central Bucks High School and worked for Wismer's Clothing Factory, Aramark and Central Bucks Cafeteria. She was a long-time member of Hilltown Baptist Church and most recently Light House Baptist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

Sylvia is survived by her loving children Cindy Dick (Charles) of Quakertown, James Dennis McGuire (Judy) of Doylestown and Faith Miller of Chalfont; grandchildren Danielle Dick (Ron Riegle), Charles Walter Dick (Vanessa Grimston), Kelly Kingsbury (Ethan), Michael Stack (Chrissy), Sandra Miller (Matt), Sean Miller (Caitlyn), Scott & Morgan Terry, Steve & Kristine Hoffman and twelve great grandchildren.

She was also a beloved aunt to Kevin Johnson (Ann) and Kristin Lake (John) and a sister to Ruth Erickson (the late John). She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Taylor (Rocky).

Services will be held 11 AM, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Hilltown Baptist Church, 745 Upper Church Road, Chalfont where the viewing will begin at 10 AM.

Interment will follow at Hilltown Baptist Cemetery.
