He is survived by: his wife Anita Hetherington (Schechinger); his children, Wendy L. Hetherington, Jack Hetherington IV (Lyndie) and Patrick Hetherington (Kira); his stepdaughters, Kristin Simkins and Sarah Key (Adam); his siblings, Billy Hetherington and Patricia Robbins; and his grandchildren, Jack V, Rylie, Oliver, Brooke and Colt.
