She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Shaffer, and Myrtle Shaffer, Sr. (Watkins); her husband Larry G. Confer; her son Larry G. Confer, Jr.; and her siblings, Cyrus, Jr., Harvey, Earl, Jim, Jane Rider, Nancy Nilson and Esther Bumgardner.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott W. Confer (Vicki) of Spring Mills, Michael L. Kelley (Scott Mauger) of Bellefonte and Christopher L. Confer (Michelle) of Howard; and her siblings, Hugh Shaffer (Diane) of Bellefonte, Cora Shaffer of Howard and Josephine Walker of Bellefonte. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (stjude.org).
