He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar S. Porter and Ruth Porter (Karr). He is survived by: his wife Janet Kristin "Kris" Carlson; his sons, Bruce E. Porter (Erin), Jeffrey R. Porter (Sheila) of Castle Rock, CO and John K. Porter (Carrie) of Centre Hall; his grandchildren, Kenna, Izzie, Emmie, Joe, Hannah, Sophia, Isaiah, Claire, Lillie, Edyn and Violet; and his siblings, Glenn Porter (Sandy) of Waxhaw, NC, Gary Porter (Sylvia) of Newport News, VA and Linda Nissley (Tom) of Reading.
