Betty Burd Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 20, 2020, at the age of 94, Betty Burd of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, born in Spring Mills, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Burd to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas E. Schaeffer and Anna R. Schaeffer (Shunk); her spouse Nevin C. Burd; her daughter Brenda K. Wilt; and her siblings, Jeremiah, Walter, Melvin, Bruce, Katherine Aimone, Irene Meyers, Janet Crater and Algie Bailey.

She is survived by: her friends, Beverly, Hetty, Vicki, Carole and Joyce; her close friend Jade; her grandsons, Nevin and Josh; her son Charles L. Hook (Elizabeth) of Liverpool; her son-in-law Dale Wilt Jr. of Spring Mills; and her sister Nancy Woock of Niagara Falls, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Betty will be laid to rest privately next to her husband at Centre County Memorial Park in State College. Following CDC recommendations, social distancing is encouraged and face coverings will be required at all services.
