He is survived by: his wife Karen Diest; his children, Theresa Sarver (Phil), Gary Jr. (Chris) and Robert (Kathy); his grandchildren, Krystal, Brittany (Andrew), Zachary, Haileigh, Nick (Nicole) and Logan (Rachael); his siblings, Kenny (Charlene), Sandra Stiffey (Phil), Donna Sand (Jeff) and Brenda; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Norris and Becky Norris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
