He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Altmire and Bill Altmire; his sister Linda Helmick; and his nephew Derek Helmick. He is survived by: his stepson Nicholas Garcia (Alexandra Kern); his siblings, Mary (Keith Conti), Kathy (Douglas Clarke) and Jim Helmick (Amber); his nieces and nephews, Nate (Anne), Tricia, Brock Conti, Rae Lyn Helmick (Jen Veri), Jordan, Dylan, Zach Clarke, Michelle Apostolakis, Kim Kestner (Justin), Kevin Shanahan (Shawna), Jackie Causer (Aaron), Jamie Pedrick, Jennifer Shanahan, Thomas J. Sais, III, Sophia and Joseph Ferrara; and his pets, Tommy and Timmy. He is also survived by many cousins, great nieces and nephews.
