She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Whitfield and Mary Whitfield (Hall); and her siblings, Cora Louise Cook, Mary Alice "Frankie" Martz and Charles Thomas Whitfield.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Karns; and her sisters, Faun Howsare (Richard) of Bedford and Dorothy Vensel (Paul "Smoke") of Bedford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
