He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Reffner and Sallie Reffner (Bowser); his wife LaDonna J. Reffner (Baker); and his siblings, Elda Mock, Albert and James Reffner.

He is survived by: his sons, Wade Reffner (Gloria) of Centerville and Robert Reffner (Sandy) of New Enterprise; his grandchildren, Joe, Deanna, Ken, Becky and James; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Jadyn, Justus, Josiah, Jonathan, Aviva, Owen, Addison and McKenna; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Braydon and Madisson.
