He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo E. Helsel and Mabel C. Helsel (Bowser); and his siblings, Joann and Ronald. He is survived by: his wife Joan L. Kopnicky; his children, Joy M. Helsel and Jeffrey D. Helsel of California, PA.; and his siblings, Esther Chernicky, Kathleen Smindak of Portage, PA and Larry of Charleston, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
