She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Huss and Mary Addy Huss; and her brother David Huss. She is survived by: her husband Norman; her children, Rebecca Sumner (Harold Lesser) and Andrew Sumner (Lucy); her grandchildren, Charles, Graham, Julia Sumner Yarrington, Jeremy and Hanna Sumner; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Huss, Edith Sumner, Ruth Ann Ross, Peggy Blackburn (Ralph), Everett Sumner and William Sumner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Ruth's honor to be made to Westminster Theological Seminary.
