He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dr. Eugene S. Griggs (Gertrude Kee Griggs) and NJ; his wife Mary Jane Hayes; his close friend Patricia Miller; his sons, Eugene Griggs III (Susan), Geoffrey Griggs (Beverly), Mark Griggs (Denise) and Peter Griggs; and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Hayes Rines and Arthur Hayes. He was also cherished by four granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
