He is survived by: his spouse Mary Jane (Lohnes); his children, Bruce Schafer (Lisa) and Beth Libertini (Tony); his grandchild Kevin Schafer (Caitlin); his great grandchild Anson Schafer; and his siblings, Mildred Worstell, Walter Schafer, Wilbert Schafer and Ruth Ann Porter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church or a Hospice of your choice.
