He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Shelly Passieu; his parents, Flo Maxin (Francis) and Jack Philips (Phyllis Genszler); his child Michelle Pruchnic (Joseph Dean); his siblings, Mark Philips and Matthew Philips (Kathleen); his parent-in-law Jim Passieu (late Debbie); and his sibling-in-law Nickie Bochter (Donald). He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Western PA Police Benevolent Foundation.
