He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Bernice Reed (Brady); his children, Thomas E. Reed (Maureen) and James O. Reed (Roxanne Shoup); and his grandchildren, Brian, Missy, Craig, Steve, Aly and Jess. He was also cherished by 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
